Fire protection within historic properties can be challenging, especially when the loss of a property that forms part of a cultural resource is irreplaceable. Fire can spread within a short space of time and areas not damaged by flame or heat may be damaged by smoke, dirt and falling debris or even by the huge volumes of water used to fight the fire.
We design, project manage and maintain Fire Suppression systems, where traditional sprinkler systems do not lend themselves to this type of property. Minimal quantities of water, colour co-ordinated nozzles to blend into decorative ceilings and flexible pipework feeds are favoured by architects, consultants and heritage owners alike.
